Our Story
Since the original generation of Simms have passed on, we can only report on what information was passed on to us by their children, and from records we have obtained.
As we were told, our Great Grand Father was originally from Scotland (no records available) his name was Charles, and he had four sons and one daughter namely:
Simeon, Manny, Boasten, "T", Dorcas
All four brothers settled in Retirement/Watt Town, accumulated vast acreages of land, established their own individual family, and maintained a close relationship with each other.

Who We are

Jamaica was once a significant producer of Bananas, Sugar, and Bauxite, which is no longer the case. These industries have suffered setbacks for many years because of the decline in worldwide demand. JFSO believes that encouraging and supporting established farmers in other sectors to focus on hiring more of these disenfranchised workers would drastically reduce unemployment. The JFSO cause was created to remember our ancestors, the Simms family, Watt Town, St. Ann, Jamaica. The sole purpose of this website is to raise funds to give back to a society that badly needs help in Jamaica.
Paths & Gateways is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the joy of learning and empowering children in deep-rural communities across Jamaica. Our mission is to provide opportunities for these children to not only excel academically but also to bridge the gaps that separate them from their peers in more developed regions of the country.
